The EOP format applied in this tool creates one EOP for each school and any facility for which an EOP is deemed necessary. One EOP per school is the standard, however some school systems have chosen to create an EOP for other facilities in which a significant number of students and/or staff inhabit throughout a regular day and is not attached to another school. Examples are a central administration office, separate vocational education building, operations building, large athletic facility, etc.
Missouri: The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) guidance, per Senate Bill 68, is that an EOP will be developed and maintained for each school within the district or school system. EOPs for other facilities are acceptable.

A separate athletic building, for example, in which classrooms are located and/or a fitness center students frequently attend would be a facility for which an EOP should be created.
A decision to develop one EOP to cover both schools or two separate EOPs, one for each school, should be based on collaborative considerations, such as:
The number of EOPs should be based on your state requirements, however the EOP format in this tool is intended to create one EOP for each school.
